and Art Exhibition Join Manuel Navarrete, Danzón Art Director and his George Mason University Printmaking Department Crew tomorrow Saturday, May 23th. for a day of adventures in the amazing world of art making. Salsa, printmaking, performance and all along educational fun at the heart of Adams Morgan! The afternoon Talleres, open format instructional workshops,will focus in relief and screen-printing, and are all open to the whole family, all ages, and pets included! All day affordable art sales! Prints, T-shirts, artist books, posters and more! Schedule: 3:30 PM – 5:00: Workshop 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Art Exhibit (free and open to the public). Art pieces will be on sale. 9:00 PM Social Event: Salsa with the Artists. Celebrate and learn to dance salsa with the artists Workshops $10 Salsa with the artists $15 The events are free for people who buy a printed T-shirt or art from the artists. Located in Adams Morgan, Danzón Art Gallery is dedicated to promoting art from throughout the world with a special focus on the artistic and creative process of a new generation of emerging local artists. Danzón Art Gallery is also committed to the celebration and dissemination of the Afro-Latin art and culture. Danzón is an open space where artists have the opportunity not only to display and promote their work but also to show through workshops their personal experiences, technical development and sources of inspiration. Danzón intends to be an active participant of the multicultural exchange that currently shapes our local community.
